Sopwith 1½ Strutter WWI Fighter, 1916/17
The Sopwith 1½ Strutter biplane was the first Allied fighter equipped with a synchronized machine gun. Designed by the Sopwith Aviation Company, Kingston-on-Thames, and known initially as the Sopwith LCT (Land Clerget Tractor), it was renamed "1½ Strutter" after the cabane struts as the distinctive W form was reminiscent of half-struts.
The 1½ Strutter's first flight was in mid-December 1915, with No 5 Wing RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) taking delivery of the type first in April 1916. 1½ Strutters were also ordered by the RFC (Royal Flying Corps). To meet demand for the two-seat (Type 9400 fighter) and single-seat (Type 9700 bomber) versions, the 1½ Strutter was also built under licence by Morgan & Co, Hooper, Westland, Vickers, Mann & Egerton, and Ruston & Proctor. Sopwith's and the subcontractors completed 1282 1½ Strutters of all types.
At the same time France urgently needed a new fighter-bomber and purchased a limited number of 1½ Strutters from Sopwith. A licence was obtained to manufacture 1½ Strutters in France, receiving designations 1.A2 for two-seat reconnaissance planes, and 1.B2 for two-seat fighter-bombers. Together with the single-seat version, France built 4497 1½ Strutters. Price:£69.99

Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker The Boeing KC-135 is an air-to-air refuelling aircraft developed in 1956 by the Boeing Aircraft Company from the quadjet prototype Boeing 367-80/707 airliner. The aircraft proved to be one of the most successful of its type and more than 600 were built. Its military service lasted more than 60 years, during which time several engine and avionics upgrades took place. The KC-135R variant with the CFM F108 engine appeared in the late 1990s and turned out to be one of the last in the huge KC-135 family.
Aircraft of this type took an active part in all military conflicts from the Vietnam War onwards. KC-135s delivered fuel air-to-air to almost every type of US Air Force aircraft, and their contribution to the overall military cause cannot be fully estimated. In 2019, the KC-135 was replaced by the next generation KC-46, and the KC-135 began to be decommissioned, some of them being transferred to aviation museums. In addition to the US Air Force, they were operated in small numbers by the French and Singapore air forces.. Price:£47.99

1947 PD-3751 Silverside Bus "Greyhound Lines"
Intercity bus created in the mid-1930s by Yellow Coach for one of the largest US coach companies, Greyhound Lines. The bus was a revolution in auto construction; corrugated aluminium and plastic materials were widely used in its build. Special attention was paid to maximum comfort for passengers. Following the construction of a wide network of high-quality highways during the Great Depression, rail passenger traffic almost stopped due to its inability to compete with high speed road transport. Mass production was undertaken at the Pontiac West Assembly plant in Pontiac, Michigan, where General Motors built pick-ups and trucks. Once the United States entered World War II the mass transportation of military recruits presented a major challenge. The solution was to use Greyhound buses. As early as 1942 they carried more than 130 million passengers, both military and civilian, an impressive figure accounting for almost half the country's population. After the war, Silversides continued in passenger traffic in the US. Some were sold to third countries, mainly in Latin America. The Greyhound Silverside bus is one of the icons of the United States, along with Ford cars and Boeing aircraft, embodying the significant technological progress the country made in the first half of the 20th century..
Focke-Wulf FW200V3/A-09 Condor "Immelman III"
Four engine passenger aircraft produced in 1937 under the direction of the famous aircraft designer Kurt Tank. Initially these aircraft were to be used by Germany's leading airline Lufthansa on prestigious transatlantic flights, but with the outbreak of World War II most were deployed on military missions. One FW 200V3/A-0 was transferred to the Luftwaffe testing facility in Rechlin, and later, after a series of special alterations, was presented to the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, as a personal VIP transport. Fw-200V3/A-0 was named 'Immelmann III' after the famous First World War ace Max Immelmann, and was used until 1944 on flights to the occupied territories..
Douglas C-133A with PGM-17 Thor IRBM
Mobile strategic aircraft complex consisting of C-133 aircraft and PGM-17 Thor missile. The main objective was to quickly deliver intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBM) by transport aircraft to remote points in other continents, placing missiles as close as possible to the borders of potential adversaries. From 1959 to 1963 missiles of this type were transported to Great Britain on C-133A aircraft. In October 1962, when humanity was on the brink of global nuclear conflict, placement of PGM-17 Thor at British bases was a key factor in forcing the Soviet Union to reverse its decision to deploy its missiles on the island of Cuba, in the immediate vicinity of US borders. After the de-escalation of political tensions in the world, all PGM-17 Thors based in the United Kingdom were returned to the United States by the same C-133A aircraft.
Markings for 2 aircraft, 40138 & 62014. Thor missile & markings included.. Price:£29.99

Arado Ar 68E, (bort 4), III/JG 141 Luftwaffe, Fuerstenwalde, Germany, 1939

In the mid-30s of the twentieth century, after Adolf Hitler came to power, began a significant withdrawal from the principles of the Versailles Agreement, which forbade Germany have a regular army and certain groups of troops, including aviation. More and more developments in secret mode turned into prototypes and went on trial to the army, given the possibility of their earliest production serialization in the context of changes in the domestic and foreign policy situation.
At this time, biplane planes still played a significant role in aviation, although the prospect of a monoplane design was already apparently more promising. However, biplane, as in the Great War, was considered the best for air combat in view of the best maneuverability characteristics.
In 1935, the aircraft manufacturing company Arado Flugzeugwerke GmbH suggested a new Arado 68 engine, which should replace their prior design Arado 65. The aviation guidance was somewhat cool in the project, as the Heinkel He51B, a second Heinel He51B fighter plane has already been tested, the main the characteristics of which satisfied the military, and therefore the future Arado 68 was facing a big problem. However, a number of disasters from the Heinkel He51B that occurred during the retraining of pilots on a new fighter aircraft allowed the Arado leadership to persuade the military to test their new aircraft, ensuring its superiority and safety comparing with Heinkel's design.
In 1936, the head of the fighter action was the main character of the Personal World Ernst Udet, who made a good statement about the new development of Arado. He arranged an air battle between He51 and Ar68 himself, piloting a new plane, during which the benefits of the Ar68 reach more obvious. With the same maximum speed, the Ar68 had much better maneuverability and was much more stable in flight.
In 1937, when the fighter began to enter the ranks of the Luftwaffe, the biplane era steadily reached to its logical conclusion. It was Ar68 that became the latest of Luftwaffe fighter planes. Together with other up-to-date developments, he (in three units) was sent to a true military trial of a civil conflict in Spain, where he was used not only as a fighter, but also as a lightweight strike aircraft to support ground troops. And only the appearance of the Republican troops of the newest Soviet I-16 forced the military not to direct Ar68 in maneuverable combat, since the advantage of a monoplan fighter, above all at speed, was more than substantial.
In the ranks of the Luftwaffe Ar68 were transferred to the training units in the pre-war years, but some of them were used as night fighters until the end of 1941.. Price:£45.99
