From September 2014 our Backorder system works with Paypal.
You can now select to pay by Paypal OR a payment card. If you have card details registered you can choose to pay with Paypal or your registered card details by clicking from one to the other when you are in View Backorder List in Your Account. You can change your payment method from one to the other anytime you want to. If you have no card registered or you remove card details it will default to Paypal.
You will be emailed a Paypal invoice which you need to pay within 10 days. If it is not paid within 10 days our system will automatically cancel the order. The available items will be reserved for you for 10 days to allow you time to pay the invoice. After 10 days the items are not reserved.
If you do not want the items shown on the invoice you can login to Your Account> View Order History, click on the invoice number and cancel it and then it is ended and you will not be sent repeated emails reminding you to pay it.
Any Backorder discount WILL BE LOST if a Paypal invoice is not paid after 10 days or if it is cancelled by accident or on purpose. Hannants staff do not have any option to reinstate it until it sells out and stock goes back to 0.
If you want to change the order or the postage method in anyway you will need to cancel the order and make a 100% new order. If any item as Backorder discount it will be lost in this situation.
As items you have on Backorder arrive during the day you will be sent emails. We generally release Backorders in the evening so you do have some time to either release the order yourself or to move it to your cart if you want to add other items and have them sent at the same time.
