Tatra T57 Army Cabrio Short Tatra 57 Army Cabrio Short - Czechoslovak and Slovak Army
This version of the army convertible was originally designed for driver training. It differed from the standard version by a shortened rear end and an unconventional placement of the rear reserve wheel. During the war it was reportedly used by the Slovak Army on the Eastern Front. The kit contains colour schemes for both the pre-war Czechoslovak Army and the Slovak Army cars serving on the Eastern Front.
Profi Line, incl. resin details, p/e parts
The Tatra 57 was the most widely used passenger car of the Tatra factory. This model began to be produced in the 1930s and its production continued until the early 1950s. During that time, many variants were produced, differing in many details. Hundreds of cars of a specific four-seater cabrio design were purchased by the pre-war Czechoslovak Army. The Wehrmacht and the Slovak Army also took them over. During the war, production of a special military version for the German armed forces, the T57K was introduced which also continued after the war for the Czechoslovak Army. However, the vehicles made their way to the customers all over the world, they were licensed for production in Austria and even the Chinese Army ordered a series of specific open vehicles designed for towing light anti-tank guns in the 1930s.
The kits have been designed using 3D technology and utilising metal moulds. The models are characterized by a high level of detail and fineness of parts.
