1. Bf-109 G-6/Trop 9. JG 77, Mateur. Tunisia, 1943. This Bf-109G was abandoned at Mateur when lll/JG 77 pulled out and was
subsequently found by the 325 th FG USAAF.
2. Bf-109E-7/Trop of 3./JG 27, Libya, 1941.
3. Bf-109F-4/ Trop 4./JG 27, Doberitz, Germany, September 1941. Starboard side of the same aircraft. Seen in Germany a week before its delivery flight to 4./ JG 27, it has standard desert camouflage of RLM 78/79.
4. Bf-109F-4/ Trop WNr 8693. Lt. Hans Joachim Marseille, 3./JG 27, Maturba, Libya, February 1942.
5. Bf-109F-4/Z Trop 7./JG 27, December 1941. Shot down soon after its arrival in North Africa, this Bf-109F has RLM 78/79 camouflage with a low demarcation line. The lll. Gruppe bar and individual number are in white outlined in black and the Mediterranean white band, nose and wing tips are present as is an RLM 04 cowling underside.
6. Bf-109F-4/Trop Wnr 13220 flown by Ofw. von Boremski, 9./JG 3, May 1942. This striking scheme was applied to several Bf-109Fs of lll./ JG 3 consisting of RLM 70/75/76. Some sources list the upper light colour as RLM 79, which is a possibiilty, as these aircraft were originally to have been delivered to North Africa. Von Boremski's victory markings are on the rudder and the name 'Maxi' is in in white under the cockpit.
