In the spring of 1934, the army leadership decided on the participation of Czechoslovak pilots in the international aerobatic competition Coupe Mondial, which was to be held in June in Paris. Under the leadership of ing. Novotny and with the help of acrobats rtm. Novƒik and Sgt. Ambruz, a new aerobatic aircraft B-222 was created in six weeks.
