NZ2402 was taken on charge by No.2 (Wellington) Squadron, Territorial Air Force, on 11 July 1952 and served with that Squadron until 25 October 1955. It was then passed to No.42 Squadron for fighter affiliation, drogue towing, communications and for pilots to aâé-l"keep their hours upaâé-.

Also includes Flight Lieutenant Jack Clelands personal makings for North-American P-51D -5 Mustang aâé-~B6-V named Isabel III. This aircraft was flown by Cleland on the Frantic V shuttle mission via Russia. It was coded aâé-~B6-B at the time with the aâé-l"Vaâé- c
